2012 was the year I jumped headfirst into the blogging world. I've learned that blogging demands more commitment that I ever could have thought. I've learned that great friends can be made in this virtual world without even meeting face to face. I've learned that sometimes it's okay to let the whole world know you're not perfect. I've learned that laying on my closet floor can sometimes be the best creative process for outfit creating. And lastly, I've learned that Andy is one supportive, fantastic, camera man of a husband. Thank you to all of you for sticking it out with me, supporting me, and putting up with my crazy rants. See you in 2012!

I'm freezing my buns off here in cold Utah. I got this coat as an early Christmas present to myself...ha...and I've been wearing it non-stop. That's right, even to bed folks. Okaaaay... maybe not to bed, but until that last second until I climb into bed. It's called the cocoon coat and it sure makes me feel like a butterfly in the making....Okay maybe I took that a bit far. I just like the coat okay?

This is a mens sweater. It went on sale and I just had to snatch it right off the racks. I grew up trying to wear my brothers clothes and now my husbands. I've decided I might as well just start shopping in the mens section. Heck, I might even change the name of my blog to Menswear with Megan. This could be the start of something great...

Vest: Nordstrom Rack, Sweater: H&M, Pants: J. Crew Factory, Boots: Michael Kors
I really love fur vests... I think they're fantastic, buuut I for some reason I just feel a bit silly when I wear mine. Maybe it's because it's too big and fluffy. Or maybe it's because it makes me feel like a fur trapper. Whatever the case, I've decided to channel my inner Daniel Boone and rock the fur. Next think you know I'll be wearing a squirrel on my head...

I found these gems from my brothers wedding. We fake laugh for the camera, smile for the camera aaaand then we get down for the camera, or in our case, up.
I'm so grateful for amazing siblings and for the amazing people they married.
Cheers to family!!

Do you remember this Old Spice commercial? Well, I decided I look like a bit like an equestrian in this outfit as well as the Christmas embodiment of that commercial:
Hello ladies! Look at your elf on the shelf, now back to me, now back at your elf, now back to me. Sadly he isn't me, but if he stopped wearing striped stockings and switched to tartan blouses he could look like he's me. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're in Santa's workshop with the woman your elf could look like. What's on your Christmas list? Back at me, I have it. It's an entry in a giveaway to that thing you love. Look again! You're the winner of free dinner and a $120 gift card to Fashion Place Mall. Anything is possible when you're elf looks like a Christmas center piece and not a a silly doll. I'm on a horse. Hiyaj!
I'm here to be your elf on the shelf and make all your Christmas dreams come true! Fashion Place Mall is hosting a "Shopping Night Out" next Wednesday December, 12th at 5:30 p.m. t

I used to watch Gossip Girl, but I stopped because it got a little too trashy for my taste. My favorite thing about it was the clothes. Oh I was obsessed with Blair's preppy and classic ensembles! I used to dream about sitting on the steps before school in my cute preppy uniform... Yeah right, the only thing I'd be doing on those steps is feeding the pigeons. Buuut I dream big. So here is me recreating my dream, and this is what I would wear.
