I've always been hesitant to wear a mostly all pink outfit for fear that I'll look like Barbie. I guess I feel like Barbie has been stereotyped as a customized, bimbo-like, product of consumer society. However, I've decided that I'm not going to let media constructs of a plastic female doll govern me. I'm breaking free folks! So, whether it be Barbie or Pink Panther, I just don't care.
Love your look. And I know what you mean about the Barbie/pink thing. I wanted to buy a pair of pants at Target that color, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to wear them to work. So instead I bought green. Green is professional right? So now I am super jealous of your cuteness and I want to zip right back to Target and snag up those hot pink pants...
ReplyDeleteGreen is so cute though! I can't wait to see how you style them!
DeleteI like it! The sweater is cute and preppy- offsets any "barbie-ness" you may think the outfit has (which again, I think looks great)
ReplyDeleteWay cute!!!
