I started Classy Confessions as a place where I could have fun, make friends, grow as an individual, and most importantly, just be myself. But lately, I don't feel like the Megan on the Internets is a true reflection of real-life Megan. Yes, this is a fashion blog of sorts. And yes, I love fashion. But it's not the center of my whole world. While I do love getting dressed and accessorizing up a storm, it's just not who I am every day. Truth be told, feeling like I have to look fashion-blog-ready every day stresses me out.
Fashion is certainly wonderful. I think getting dressed and feeling good about myself is very important. yet, there are so many other parts of life that are as equally or more wonderful, and I want to focus on those as well. So, there will be a few slight changes around here – nothing drastic. Outfit posts will still happen, but just not quite as frequently as they have been. I hope to share more about our life and who we really are. So you can expect a lot of food, funnies (we think we're funny), Winston, my beautiful husband (chimes in Andy), family, and friends – and whatever else life throws at us.
Hey, I'm excited to hear more about your life. Good for you for following where your heart leads! All the best in this new chapter of your blog.

I love blogs that are a mix of everything! and bloggers that are honest too. When I started blogging I had no idea I'd end up sharing parts of my life and I've been so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for the changes! I know I'm here because you have great fashion posts but also because I connect with you (in some way I swear! You're adorable and stylish and I'm almost 6 feet tall, 24 and dress like a middle schooler haha!) I think your readers will love to see another side of you!
ReplyDeleteI say write about whatever makes you happy! I will still be here :)

I completely agree 100%!! I started mine as "Fashion-ish" blog and over the past 2 1/2 years it has become a lifestyle blog with outfit posts here and there. I much prefer it to document my everyday life, as opposed to everyday style :) Good on you! I've always enjoyed your blog, and I look forward to reading more of your day to day thoughts and adventures :)
ReplyDeleteYou should def blog about what makes you happy... I enjoy a lifestyle blog b/c I can post on what I feel like posting on. =) Some fashion, some DIY, some life, and stuff! It'll be great girl!
ReplyDeleteI like that a lot! I hope you can share this on my link-up party today, it's all about making changes and trying new things. I admire you!

ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I don't know how you fashion bloggers even do it! I love love love fashion but I can't even imagine the pressure to be blog post ready 24/7, as you say. I'm WAY too lazy for that!!! Of course, I always love to see your outfits but I'm excited for and look forward to reading more about your life outside of all things accessorized!
