Life can get so complicated sometimes. It's full of assignments, appointments, deadlines, guidelines, commitments, pressures, and everything else that could possibly occupy a square on that thing we like to call a calendar. At times I wonder how I'll ever survive. The answer, I think, partly lies in taking time to enjoy the small and simple things that happen on a daily basis. So without further ado, here are the simple things that I enjoy...
- Running into a friend on campus and sharing a sweet, catch-up moment.
-Dove Chocolates... surely a gift from above meant to sweeten (no pun intended) busy days.
-Walking in the door after a long day to be greeted by an ecstatic, loving pup named Winston.
-Meaningful conversations with sisters. Sometimes we're so deep...it's legit.
-Waking up to soft kisses on the forehead from Andy before he leaves in the morning.
-That quiet, fulfilling moment when you realize your college education is so meaningful and amidst all of the craziness, you're absolutely loving every minute of it.
-Going to the pumpkin patch with my Momma. She still lets me pick out my own pumpkins. In some ways, I never want to grow up.
-Meeting someone who reads my rants on this blog. It makes my day.
-The breathtaking beauty of a fall day in Utah. It's amazing.
-A tight squeeze-hug from my Dad. There's so much love in those arms.
I'm so grateful for the small, beautiful moments in life.
